Pure Sustainability

If you love nature as much as we do then you'll be happy to learn that all PURE outdoor clothing is 100% recyclable, 100% free from environmentally harmful chemicals, and made using already recycled consumer products like discarded plastic bottles. Using the latest green technologies available, Pure Brandz produces high-end eco-friendly clothing for a variety of active lifestyles.

How do we do it? We partnered with like-minded outdoor eco-fashion enthusiasts at SympaTex®. The German fabric specialists produce a membrane that not only offers incredible waterproof, windproof and breathability qualities, but is also 100% recyclable like a PET bottle. Thanks to our use of SympaTex® fabric, the production of 5,000 Pure Brandz jackets can save approx. 1.5 tons of CO2 emissions – equivalent to 1,200 car trips of 10km each – compared to PTFE jackets. In terms of functional textiles, SympaTex® has proved how high tech and environmental protection can complement each other.

Greenpeace Report

Greenpeace, in October 2012, found the Sympatex laminate/jacket with the lowest residues of PFOA to be the ecological alternative in the outdoor clothing industry.

Read the Greenpeace report here: Chemistry for any weather.

In the Greenpeace Detox Campaign “Chemistry for any weather - Part ll”, two independent laboratories tested 17 outdoor products for PFC and other hazardous substances and found the Sympatex laminate/jacket the test winner by far.
